Here are some photos that I took in whitby, a seaside town in North Yorkshire:
Despite being an attractive seaside town, these photographs provoke human presence in a isolated way. Even though its an extremely popular location, on this certain day it was consumed by fog that made it seem like a ghost town. The photographs don’t show people, they just for isolated structures with white ambient backdrops. Whitby is a popular tourist attraction because its beach, fish and chip shops and general mood. These images show what its like on an off-peak day that hasn’t attracted much interest. The images are calm, its as if the structures are resting from all the attention they’ve received by people on popular days. Its not an idea that I’m going to do develop because I believe the other ideas fit the brief a lot more, but they work well as a nice series of images.
